New Path, Same Direction

July 13, 2017

This morning when I woke up too late to go to the gym, I opted to take my dog, Gem, for a walk. As I was feeling guilty for sleeping in, Gem was thrilled... easing my guilt!

Being that we are in the height of the rainy season in Miami as well as peak Royal Poinciana blooming season. The rain, as it did last night, can take out masses of blooms that can be viewed as a messy nightmare (especially if you have a car parked under one) or a glorious, magical, abundance of color. To me, it is the latter! Think about waking up on a cold winter morning with fresh snow on the ground where everything is monotone and perfect. When I look out and see the Royal Poinciana carpet of blooms, the feeling is the same feeling only full of color and life.

My journey as an artist has taken many paths, but the direction to have an uncompromising relationship and respect with nature will always be steadfast. The journey is long and thankfully abundant with color!

Where are you on your path?
